Faculty

Nancy Sutcliffe, M.Ed., R.T. (R ) (QM) - Professor and Program Director
Nancy has 40 years of radiography experience and has been employed in these areas of radiography: general radiology, neuroradiology, special procedures, mammography, quality assurance, management and was a clinical instructor for the Northeastern University radiology program as well as the Massasoit radiology program. She was the first clinical coordinator for the Massasoit radiology program and was the program's director until 2003.

Nancy is member of the state society and national society for radiologic technologists. She has been a frequent guest lecturer for the Cape Cod district of the Massachusetts Society of Radiologic Technologists. She is the 2009-2010 President for the Northeast Association of Allied Health Educators, a regional group of allied health educators.

Nancy is dedicated to the profession of radiology and supports continuing education. She has established two advance imaging certification programs at Massasoit, the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Certificate and the Computerized Tomography Certificate program. click here for the MRI program click here for the CT program Nancy holds a Master’s degree in Education from Bridgewater State College and teaches all the positioning lecture courses, including advanced imaging procedures, the pathology course, advanced imaging equipment and modalities, and quality assurance in radiology.
Cheryl Burke - Professor and Clinical Coordinator
Cheryl joined the faculty of the Radiologic Technology Program in the Fall Semester 2007. She graduated from Massasoit Community College in 1991. Since then, she has been employed in General Radiology, Mammography and Cat Scan. She is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Radiologic Technologists, the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and currently holds the title of vice-president for the Northeast Association of Allied Health Educators.

Cheryl enjoys teaching physics and positioning courses and closely monitors the student’s clinical education. She also looks forward to pursuing her Master’s Degree as well as continuing her professional career at Massasoit Community College.
Cheryl McFaun - Lab Instructor
Cheryl McFaun was hired in the fall of 2009 to teach the radiographic positioning lab courses. Cheryl McFaun, is a 1991 graduate of the Radiologic Technology Program of Massasoit Community College where she received an Associate's Degree in Radiology Science. In addition to nearly 20 years of Radiologic Technology experience, she is also a 1993 graduate of the Rhode Island Hospital School of Nuclear Medicine Technology where she received a certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology. Approximately 6 years ago, she cross trained in CT scanning at Good Samaritan Medical Center, and is currently working in this modality as well as the others previously mentioned. She passed the ARRT registry exams in both Radiologic Technology, and Nuclear Medicine Technology, and the certification exam of the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board.
